The Rail District in downtown Frisco is getting a sweet addition to its one of a kind walkable destination neighborhood.
The Melted Chocolate, a dessert shop founded by Frisco resident Ally Mims, is set to open its first restaurant location in early 2022 at 8763 7th Street. Billed as the “destination for tasteful and stylish desserts”, the shop will include a full-service bar, patio for live music, and high-end dining services.
The location is a part of a project by Nack Development. After long-time Frisco store, Frank’s Tires, shut down, the real estate company saw an opportunity to bring a new vision to life at the intersection of Elm and 7th Streets. The Tower at The Rail is a two-story building with 8,000 square feet and will house boutique retail space, office space and restaurants of which The Melted Chocolate will be a part.
According to a post on Facebook, construction began in June. “This has been a dream come true for me and I cannot express my excitement,” Mims said at the time.
Desserts at The Melted Chocolate are made from high-quality chocolate for ultimate taste and richness. Additional ingredients are carefully picked for quality to ensure the best taste results. The menu will have something for everybody, even those who don’t necessarily have a sweet tooth.
Mims believes the chicken and waffles will be a hot menu item. “The chicken is full of flavor,” she said. “It’s so good you don’t need syrup for it.”
She sees the growth in downtown Frisco as the perfect fit for her new business venture. “I want to be a part of it,” Mims said. “I’m really excited to help bring that feeling of Deep Ellum up North.”
