Shug’s Bagels owner Justin Shugrue told What Now Dallas they recently received permitting, but it will take a while to remodel the restaurant. Once they get into the property, they’ll determine just how much work must be done to ready the space for the public.

Shugrue hopes to open in the summer or possibly fall of 2023. The second Shug’s Bagels will feature a drive-thru adding to the convenience of grabbing a bagel or two to-go.

The menu features breakfast, deli, and bagel & lox sandwiches. You can also grab Chicken Cutlet Classics, bagels and spreads, as well as sweets such as cookies, crumb cake, and muffins.

Shug’s Bagels has been serving customers at 3020 Mockingbird Ln. in Dallas since June 2020.
