The concept will be celebrating its opening at 4702 West University Drive by giving back to the community. According to a press release provided to What Now Dallas, Birdcall will be donating proceeds from the February 17 grand opening to Streetside Showers and the Baylor Scott & White Foundation.
Though the fast-casual chicken dining scene is a relatively crowded market to break into, Birdcall distinguishes itself through delicious cuisine and a vibrant atmosphere. The McKinney storefront will feature free arcade games, a bar, and a self-serve kiosk. Guests can look forward to enjoying their made-to-order chicken sandwiches on the outdoor patio, once the weather turns warm.
Birdcall CEO Mark Lohmann states that the brand is enthusiastic to further feed DFW diners. He tells What Now Dallas: “We’re thrilled to be opening soon in McKinney and are appreciative of the incredible community support. Birdcall is all about award-winning chicken sandwiches, incredible guest experiences, and supporting the communities that we are privileged to be a part of and look forward to bringing Birdcalls to neighborhoods across DFW.”
McKinney diners convinced they’ve tasted every chicken sandwich but hungry for new options are in for a treat. The Birdcall menu dramatically reenvisions the limits of what a chicken sandwich can be. Visitors will be able to choose from traditional standards like the Nashville hot or the original. More adventurous patrons can opt for a chicken treat less travelled, such as the Southern with pimento cheese and southern coleslaw or the spicy Szechuan.
While Birdcall’s menu highlights sandwiches, guests can also choose from sliders, tenders, and specialty salads. The chain hasn’t abandoned its meatless friends; vegetarians can sink their teeth into the Meati, a veggie option. Future regulars won’t run out of options to sample anytime soon; Birdcall offers 15 house-made sauce options.
