The wait could be over soon for Mesquite residents looking forward to the new Cinnaholic restaurant. Mesquite Cinnaholic owner Donovon Ridley told What Now Dallas that once the oversized menu board arrives, it should only be a couple of weeks before the grand opening, possibly sometime in September.

Ridley grew up in Dallas and knew he wanted to bring Cinnaholic to Mesquite. Construction on the space at 1300 N. Town East Blvd., Ste. 102 started around February of this year. “It’s the times we are in, but the good part is you just try to keep finding other ways to keep maneuvering to get things done. That’s just what you continue to do.”

This is Ridley’s first Cinnaholic, and he would like to open other locations if the opportunity arises. “It’s something different and unique to the area.”

Cinnaholic has other locations planned for DFW with one set to open later this year at 102 N. Murphy Rd., Ste. 1023 in Murphy. Cinnaholic currently has several locations open in the Dallas-Fort Worth area, as well as in the Houston area.

The gourmet cinnamon roll bakery serves 100% plant-based roll creations. The vegan bakery franchise commits that all ingredients are animal-free and free of dairy, lactose, eggs, and cholesterol.

With more than 20 unique frosting flavors and topping options such as fruit, brownie bites, and more, Cinnaholic offers appealing creations to dessert lovers. Customers can get a Baker’s Box with a baker’s choice of frostings and toppings on the cinnamon rolls.

Some available flavors include the Cookie Monster, which is a freshly baked cinnamon roll topped with cream cheese frosting, homemade chocolate chip cookie dough, chocolate chips, and chocolate sauce. Other choices include the Old Skool, a classic cinnamon roll with vanilla frosting, and the Sparkle Berry with chocolate frosting topped with fresh strawberries and sprinkles. Cinnacakes, cookie cakes, and edible cookie dough are also available, as well as coffee, tea, and espresso.

“I always tell people you have things that are good, and you have things that are amazing. And these are one of things that I say are amazing.”
