Parlor Doughnuts is set to take over 410 W. Southlake Blvd #140 Southlake, TX 76092 sometime in September, according to the Parlor Doughnuts website and an article featured on CommunityImpact.com. The incoming doughnut shop will replace Elegant Nail Bar, a beauty salon that resided in the suite for over six years.

In 2015, after sampling doughnuts and coffee coast to coast, father-and-son Darrick and Noah Hayden opened Proper Coffee. According to the company website, Proper Coffee “flourished” and eventually gave way to Parlor Doughnuts – a restaurant concept born of three things: an appreciation for the early American parlor aesthetic, the link between doughnuts and WWI soldiers, and the Hayden’s “desire to create a new path for the doughnut experience.”

In 2019, the Haydens teamed up with restaurateur Josh Tudela, and have since expanded the franchise across 11 states and 32 cities. While lauded for their coffee; vegan, gluten-free, and keto-friendly options; and a swelling menu full of uniquely delicious fare, it’s their layered doughnut that seems to keep customers coming back.

“It is our proprietary product with layers of buttery dough fried to be crisp on the outside and light/fluffy on the inside,” the company website explains. “A wide range of toppings are [also] available…and small batches are made fresh all day!”

When contacted about the incoming Southlake location, franchise owner Isaiah Dunham did not immediately comment.
