A new location is being planned for a space that previously held Lava 10 at 401 E. State Highway 114 in Grapevine, according to a recent project filing.

The filing states the interior remodel will include work on the existing sushi bar, alcohol bar, and finishes in the main dining area. Construction on the space could wrap up in late spring or early summer, but there is no official word on when the restaurant might open to the public.

Thanh Nguyen is the owner and executive chef at Oishii. The Oishii menu features a variety of sushi and sashimi, plus Maki rolls including the Alaskan, Cajun, California, and Caterpillar, which features barbecue eel. Specialty dishes include the Caesar Roll with crabmeat and tempura flakes wrapped in salmon and topped with spicy tuna and diced avocado, as well as the Cowboys Roll of shrimp tempura, asparagus, blue cheese, jalapeno and avocado wrapped with seared beef tenderloin.

Numerous appetizers are offered, as well as pho, salads, and several options of chicken, beef, pork, and seafood dishes.
