Kehinde Komolafe and her husband Adebayo Komolafe own Honey-Dip Fingerz. The new 1,400-square-foot restaurant space in McKinney will be take-out only.

“It feels great to finally have a platform where I can showcase and share authentic Nigerian dishes with Dallas and the world at large. I am equally so grateful for the opportunity to build something that will hopefully leave a positive impact in a richly diverse community like McKinney and a legacy for Black-owned enterprises in the United States,” Kehinde Komolafe told What Now Dallas in an email.

They hope to offer the community a taste for everyone to enjoy and remember. “We also hope to bring smiles to faces at events in the area where we are fortunate to cater for. In our experience, food brings joy, laughter, and good vibes to the community, and our unique Nigerian meals have a lot to share with the rest of the world, starting out here in McKinney,” Kehinde continued.

The specialty at Honey-Dip Fingerz is African cuisine, particularly from West Africa–Nigeria–which consists of a wide variety of meals from entrées such as Jollof Rice, Fried Rice, soups such as Efo Riro, Egusi, Designer Stew (Ayamase), and appetizers such as Puff-Puff, Battered Shrimp, and Peppered Gizzard. “We are mostly known for our signature entrée–Nigerian Jollof Rice which tastes absolutely fantastic! This dish wakes up all your five senses. Most of our clients love it and tout it as the best they have ever had.”

Kehinde first started Honey-Dip Fingerz after moving to the U.S. in 2016. She discovered it was difficult for others to provide quality, home-cooked Nigerian food for themselves and their families, so she began to cook and deliver affordable meals.

“I listened to what my clients wanted and adjusted flavor, spice intensity, and tenderness of the proteins tailored to every individual’s needs. I accepted constructive criticism when it was given, and this only made the us better.” Honey-Dip Fingerz has since delivered meals to over 11,000 customers both individual and corporate events. You can find more information about the menu and how to order on the company website.
