The eatery will be open weekdays and Saturdays from 7 AM to 3 PM and on Sundays from 8 AM to 3 PM. A feature that will be introduced soon after the restaurant opens is “Sunrise After Sunset Latin Happy Hour.” This special will run from 5 PM to 10 PM Thursdays thru Saturdays and feature a great selection of wines, beer and menu items inspired by Puerto Rican cuisine.

The new concept is being brought to the area by Jose Betances, owner of Piscolabis Catering which was founded in 2007. Betances has been a Frisco resident for 14 years and says the community is what led him to open a restaurant in the area. “The restaurant market in Frisco is very solid,” Betances said in speaking with What Now Dallas. “Even with the pandemic, it’s remained very strong.”

Guests are sure to be delighted with the lengthy menu offerings. Breakfast includes the basics like French toast, buttermilk pancakes, scrambled eggs, bacon and sausage. There’s also chicken and waffles, omelets, breakfast sandwiches and signature skillets like The Hungry Vaquero – a large grilled flour tortilla, layered with Mexican salsa and refried beans, topped with eggs and grated cheese and then broiled until golden brown before being garnished with sour cream, jalapeños and Mexican chorizo.

Other items include burgers, lunch sandwiches, empanadas, chicken tenders, meatloaf, and soups and salads.

An extensive espresso bar selection includes lattes, cappuccinos, mochas, macchiatos, americanos, drip coffee, tea and hot chocolate.

When the eatery launches its happy hour, guests will enjoy Latin jazz on Thursdays, Latin pop on Fridays and be encouraged to dance on Saturdays. Shareables will include mini chicken empanadas with mojito dipping sauce, deep fried Yucca sticks with mayo ketchup sauce, and shrimp ceviche served with homemade plantain chips. Entrees, desserts and specialty cocktails such as the Sunrise Sangria – a recipe that has been with the family for over three decades – will also be featured.

Sunrise Caffé will offer catering services through its parent company, Piscolabis. It is also planning to play an active role in the community through local sponsorships and fundraising opportunities, as well as through local charities and events.

The eatery is currently hiring for all positions. Those interested can submit their application online here.
