A new Club Pilates is opening near Weatherford this fall. Jana Rivers, franchise owner, told What Now Dallas the studio will open in a multi-use development at an apartment complex, which will also house a new brewery, Bourbon-N-Branch. Bourbon-N-Branch could have an inspection this Friday or next Monday, and plans are to open by July 13.
“Our target date is September 15th for our soft opening. We’re getting excited, and we’re getting ready,” Rivers said about the Weatherford Club Pilates. Rivers plans to host community-based activities in the near future.
“The community—it’s nice,” Rivers said. Rivers is relocating from California to Texas to open the Club Pilates. “I’m a Southern girl at heart, though,” Rivers said.
Club Pilates is a reformer-based modality. “Most people think that Pilates is a weight-loss program. It’s actually a lifestyle program. It focuses on building your core, your balance, just motivating a healthy lifestyle.” Pilates is an alternative to running or cycling and encourages members to engage in healthy activities in a safe way.
Each instructor has completed more than 500 hours of Pilates training. Club Pilates offers full-body, Reformer-based Pilates, Cardio Sculpt, Restore, and other types of classes.
Club Pilates offers several levels of classes from beginner to mastery. Level 1 Foundation focuses on form and overall body awareness. Level 2.5 Mastery is the most advanced class that teaches advanced Pilates movements. Semi-private and private sessions are also available.
The 1,900-square-foot studio will also offer retail merchandise. Several brands of clothing for men and women, including Lululemon, and Pilates equipment will be offered. Pre-sale memberships are available at Club Pilates, which will be located at 900 Cinema Dr., Ste. 1331 in Hudson Oaks.
