Cheffy sandwiches and soulful salads from a farm fresh Golden State restaurant have received quite the warm reception here. So much so that Mendocino Farms Sandwich Market is planning to open two more locations within the Dallas area next year, according to a release.
Opening in early summer 2022, the first of the two will be at 3700 McKinney Ave., occupying suite 110 in West Village. The second will be in Plano’s Legacy West and will open mid-summer 2022. An exact address has yet to be announced. Per a project filing, the West Village location will be renovated to include a patio.
It’s other Texas locations are in Houston – 609 Main St, 5510 Morningside Dr, and 1111-05 Uptown Park Blvd. Two more Houston locations are planned to open very soon. The first at 600 N. Shepherd Dr on December 14th and the second at 1200 Smith St in Spring 2022. The Lone Star State is Mendocino Farms’ first market outside of its home state of California in which it has multiple locations throughout Los Angeles, Orange County, San Diego and the Northern part of the state.
Founded by husband-and-wife team Mario Del Pero and Ellen Chen, Mendocino Farms takes guests on a culinary adventure with a diverse menu of chef-driven, seasonal sandwiches, salads and more made from fresh, high-quality ingredients. The brand has something for everyone, offering vegan, vegetarian, and gluten-free options.
Sandwiches include Chimichurri Steak and Bacon, Mendo’s Original Pork Belly Banh Mi, Chicken Pesto Caprese and the “Not So Fried” Chicken, a shaved, roasted chicken breast with herb aioli and mustard pickle slaw on toasted ciabatta. Salad versions of several of these sandwiches are offered, along with original creations like the Avocado and Quinoa Superfood and Sophisticated Chicken and Prosciutto Salad.
Bowls, seasonal soups, and sides such as couscous, potato salad, and pasta are also on the menu. “We’re committed to continuously evolving and adding to our menu so that we’re always wowing our guests with new, unexpected, flavor combinations,” the brand says.
