A new Marco’s Pizza is expected to open in Aubrey sometime this fall. Franchisee Chamal Kahanawita told What Now Dallas they’ve signed the lease at 26745 US Highway 380, Ste. 114 in Aubrey. The current tenant plans to downsize, and Marco’s Pizza will begin construction on the space before opening to the public, possibly in September or October of 2022.

Kahanawita currently owns three franchise locations—Carrollton, The Colony, and Plano—but he has wanted to bring one to the Aubrey area for some time. “I used to live in Little Elm right off of 380 and 423, and I’ve been looking in that area for a while now to find a good space to open up a Marco’s. It took me a couple of years, but I did find a space,” Kahanawita said. “It’s a fast-growing area, and I think there is a big need for restaurants in the area considering how fast the population out there is growing.”

The menu features a variety of pizza options including Pepperoni Magnifico, with two types of pepperoni, and the Deluxe pizza, both fan favorites. “My personal favorite is the Chicken Florentine pizza. I love that.” Marco’s Pizza also offers wings, salads, subs, and more.

The Marco’s Pizza in Aubrey will be primarily delivery and carry-out. “We plan to have a pickup window so customers can pick up their pizza without getting out of their car. Dining is very limited. We may have dine-in for just a few people.”

Kahanawita would like to open at least one other Marco’s near the area, but for now, he’s focused on his latest addition. “We plan to open as soon as we can. I look forward to serving the customers in Aubrey.”

Pat Giammarco founded Marco’s Pizza in Ohio back in 1978, and the brand has grown to have more than 1,000 storefronts. According to the Marco’s Pizza website, “We got here by doing things the right way, because when you love pizza this much, that’s the only way to do things.”
