Jersey Mike’s is opening a sixth Frisco location at 12025 University Dr, according to lease intel.
The 1,400-square-foot location is part of Three Corners Plaza, a fairly new 90,000-square-foot development along 380 and Coit. Other eateries that have leased spaces in the plaza include Planet Smoothie, Einstein Bros. Bagels, Jam + Toast – a popular breakfast spot in Irving, Southern Comfort and Burger Bar. Texas Family Fitness is also bringing one of its large gyms to the development.
The new Jersey Mike’s will occupy suite 204 in building 2. An exact opening date has not yet been announced, but it is expected to open by mid 2022.
The location is being brought to the area by local franchise owner Ramein Gerami, who also owns a Jersey Mike’s location in Denton. Gerami was not immediately available for comment to What Now Dallas.
Founded in 1956, the New Jersey-based fast-casual sub sandwich franchise has become nationally known for offering “a sub above.” It currently has over 2,000 restaurants either open or under development nationwide.
With a commitment to using quality products and providing exceptional customer service, subs are made “Mike’s Way” with fresh veggies and premium meats and cheeses that are sliced on the spot. Piled high on in-store baked bread and then topped off with an exquisite zing of “the juice” – a mix of red wine vinegar and olive oil blend, the brand has built up a passionate, loyal fan base.
Jersey Mike’s is also dedicated to giving back to local communities of which its restaurants are a part of. When Gerami opened his Denton location in 2018, he held a free sub fundraiser to support the Dallas-based Ryan Siddique Foundation.
Since 2010, per a recent company press release, Jersey Mike’s locations throughout the country have raised more than $41 million for worthy local charities and have distributed more than 2 million free sub sandwiches to help numerous causes.
