Insomnia Cookies will open a new North Texas location at 3000 Northside Blvd in space 300 of the Northside student apartment community for UT Dallas. Renovation work on the 1,392-square-foot space is expected to start next month and wrap up in July.

Founded by Seth Berkowitz in 2003 when he was a student at the University of Pennsylvania, Insomnia’s first brick and mortar store opened in 2006 in Syracuse, New York. Since then, the brand has grown to more than 200 locations across the U.S., most of which deliver warm cookies from 10 AM to 3 AM daily.

Insomnia offers your classic cookie flavors like chocolate chunk, oatmeal raisin, peanut butter chip, snickerdoodle, and sugar. Less traditional flavors include hibiscus berry and lemon poppy seed, as well as deluxe flavors like oatmeal chocolate walnut. There’s also brownies, dessert sandwiches, cookie cakes, and ice cream. If you add ice cream to a warm cookie or brownie, that’s called a “scoop.” There are also vegan and gluten-free cookie options.

When it comes to quantity, a variety of packs from 4-count to 100-count are available, as well as combos and kits to choose from.

Insomnia currently has five locations in the North Texas area.

It’s latest storefront opened in Dallas’s Victory Park in May 2021 at 2422 Victory Park Ln. A second Dallas location is in Deep Ellum at 2656 Main St. Other locations are in Denton – 106 Fry St, and Fort Worth – 2868 W Berry St on the TCU campus and 825 Currie St. The only other Lone Star State Insomnia location is way out in Nacogdoches.
