Hudson House is planned for 3475 Preston Road, according to plans filed with the state. The building was formerly occupied by Twin Peaks. According to the plans, the estimated completion date of work on the 6,865-square-foot space is May 2025.
This would be the ninth location for the concept, which has several existing restaurants across Texas and one in Los Angeles.
Hudson House comes from Vandelay Hospitality Group, the team behind several fast-casual and fine-dining restaurants. Hunter Pond founded Vandelay Hospitality Group in 2012. The group’s restaurant portfolio includes Drake’s Hollywood, D.L. Mack’s, Brentwood, East Hampton Sandwich Co., Slider & Blues and Anchor Sushi Bar.
“Since 2012, we’ve developed restaurant brands and services that evoke a combination of rich American heritage, exquisite craftsmanship, and an eye for detail,” according to the company website.
First opened in 2017, Hudson House is inspired by New York’s West Village, serving seafood and other coastal-inspired cuisine, like oysters, sushi, fish tacos and lobster rolls. Some signature items: the Seafood Bouquet, which includes 18 chef’s choice oysters and eight shrimp cocktail with seasonal accoutrements, the Spicy Salmon Crispy Rice, and signature drinks dubbed the “World’s Coldest Martinis.”
