Coco Shrimp is planned for a space in Mansfield at 2301 E Broad Street. The 2,300-square-foot space is located at The Shops at Broad Street.

Isaac and Lauren Hadley fell in love with the lifestyle and cuisine while attending Brigham Young-University-Hawaii, inspired to bring a taste of Hawaii to Texas. The concept began as a food truck (a refurbished old ambulance) in 2016 before expanding to its first brick-and-mortar restaurant in 2019. Mary and Jordan Barrus, Isaac’s sister and brother-in-law, joined Coco Shrimp in 2016.

Coco Shrimp now has locations in Fort Worth, Denton, Watauga, Richardson, Plano, Keller and a newly opened one in College Station. Excited customers lined up outside the restaurant as they opened their doors Nov. 21, 2024.

The new Mansfield location is expected to open in March or April 2025, Director of Operations Daniele Perez told What Now Dallas. The menu will feature the same shrimp tacos and plates with rice and salad that customers have come to know and love.

The shrimp comes in several varieties, including Coco Shrimp (hand-battered and breaded with sweet coconut flakes and fried), Sweet & Spicy (the Coco Shrimp drizzled with sweet teriyaki), Butter Garlic (tossed in butter garlic sauce and seasoned with a blend of spices and herbs), and more.
