A boutique Dallas catering company is moving into a larger space. Guthrie’s Catering worked out of kitchen in Deep Ellum near Baylor University Medical Center for eight years. “With all of the new construction down there, when our lease was up, we decided to find somewhere to take us another 10 years down the road,” said Ben Johnson, owner of Guthrie’s Catering.

Guthrie’s Catering moved out of that space last year and is working from Revolving Kitchen in Dallas until they can move into the new location at 11411 N. Central Expressway, Ste. M in Dallas.

Johnson told What Now Dallas that Guthrie’s Catering offers a wide range of options. Cuisines range from higher end foods to Mexican and barbecue. “We do a lot of cooking onsite. We can also do more standard catering, as well.”

Private events have been keeping Guthrie’s Catering busy, but Johnson said they are starting to refocus on corporate events, as well. They can cater to groups from 10 to 500 people.

Johnson hopes to begin working out of the new space by early summer. He added that he hopes to offer pickup at the new location for local clientele, as well as full-service catering.

“I’m excited. It’s a lot of space. It will allow us to grow and expand and offer more than we previously had. It’s convenient to lots of the Metroplex, as well as our core clientele. It will be a good opportunity for us to start competing with some of the bigger companies and do more and bigger events.”
