Snooze, an A.M. Eatery is planning to open at 9169 Dallas Pkwy. There are a decent number of Snooze locations within the Dallas-Fort Worth area, but this will be the breakfast and brunch chain’s first Frisco location. Occupying suite 120, the forthcoming eatery is replacing Tacos 4 Life/Custom Tacos.

The Arkansas-based taco chain opened its first restaurant in Texas in late 2017 but the Lone Star State outpost eventually closed. It later changed its name to Custom Tacos and reopened in the same location, but that did not see much success either and closed in less than a year.

The location is a part of Frisco Market Center, a lifestyle shopping development that is home to Main Event, LA Fitness, 54th Street Grill, Zoe’s Kitchen and Snappy Salads. Across the Dallas North Tollway from Toyota Stadium and two exits north of the Dallas Cowboys World Headquarters, the forthcoming Snooze is coming to a prime location.

According to a recent project filing, renovation work on the 3,768-square-foot space is expected to start in March 2022 and be completed by the end of June. It will cost an estimated $700,000.

Within the DFW area, Snooze currently operates four locations in Addison, Dallas and Fort Worth. Other Texas locations are in Austin, College Station, Houston, Katy, San Antonio, The Woodlands and Webster.

Launched in Denver, Colorado, in April 2006 by brothers Jon and Adam Schlegel, Snooze has grown to 50 locations across eight states. With dishes that are anything but regular, there’s more to the brand than its tasty food and drinks. With every meal that’s served, Snooze aims to better its communities and the planet by donating 1% of sales back to its communities while composting and recycling nearly 90% of its waste.

Menu options include pineapple upside down pancakes, garden harvest omelet, smashed avocado benny, shrimp and grits, and breakfast tacos. The extensive drinks selection features coffee and tea, cold-pressed juices, and cocktails like the orange snoozius and brewmosa.

Snooze is open seven days a week for breakfast, lunch and brunch.
