The duo behind Cousin’s BBQ is bringing upscale New American cuisine to 3729 St. Amanda Circle. A recent release announced The Mont is in the works from Jeff Payne and Jason Cross.
The concept is currently being constructed outside of the Montserrat neighborhood, and is expected to open its doors this winter.
“The restaurant will offer guests an elevated dining experience with chef-driven, seasonally inspired cuisine from acclaimed Chef Michael Duff,” the release shared.
Payne, who has over forty years of experience in the restaurant industry, shared his inspiration behind the concept, “I’ve wanted to open an upscale, chef-driven concept in the Fort Worth area for a long time and when we saw this space near the Montserrat neighborhood I knew this was the spot. It’s the perfect backdrop to have a beautiful dining experience inspired by seasonal, fresh ingredients, world travel, nostalgic favorites and our Texas roots in a timeless setting.”
This vision will be bolstered by Executive Chef Michael Duff’s extensive experience cultivating other well-loved menus in the area. The space is being brought to life by interior designer, Kelley Laughton, who said, “The Mont is where the essence of the 1960s meets modern sophistication. The restaurant offers an exclusive dining experience that transports guests back to a time of sleek style, impeccable taste and refined elegance.”
