Salad Station is being brought to Irving by father-and-daughter duo, Jeremy and Brittney Browning, of North Dallas. The two have been wanting to open up a business together for a while.

“I was working in healthcare administration. Prior to that, I had multiple years with hospitality operations,” Brittney said in a statement to 1851 Franchise. “We wanted to find a franchise concept we were passionate about, and my undergraduate degree was in public health. When we found Salad Station, we immediately connected with the mission — more places need fast, convenient, healthy food options.”

The Brownings were also inspired by the chain’s own family duo. Founded in 2012 by mother-and-son business partners, Cindy and Scott Henderson, the chain began franchising in 2015. There are currently 26 locations throughout Louisiana, Alabama, Florida, Mississippi, and Arkansas. Scott, who is now president of the chain, says they are thrilled to have the Brownings on the Salad Station team.

“As a father-and-daughter duo, the Brownings perfectly exemplify the types of family-driven values that my mother and I founded this brand on,” he said.

The Brownings are confident that Salad Station will do well with the Irving community and have plans to open more locations in the DFW area in the near future.

Despite the challenges faced by the restaurant industry amid COVID-19, Salad Station managed to emerge from the pandemic stronger than ever. This was thanks in part to its commitment to supporting franchisees with a simplified business model, low cost of entry, and innovative approach to healthy eating. And the brand doesn’t plan on slowing down anytime soon. Along with the forthcoming Texas location, Salad Station has also signed two new franchisees to open in Tennessee.

1851 Franchise notes that the chain sets itself a part from the BYO salad competition with its roots in family farming, local agriculture, and through the use of fresh, local ingredients.

The chain features an ever-evolving menu with over 100 salad toppings. Soups, wraps, and lemonade are also offered. For more information, visit thesaladstation.com.
