“Fort Worth has always held a special place in our hearts,” shares Benji Homsey, Duro Hospitality Partner in a statement. “Between myself being a TCU graduate and Chas’ many years of living in Fort Worth growing up, we’ve always felt a deep connection to this city.” Homsey continues, “We set out to create a one-of-a-kind experience that captures the essence of Fort Worth while introducing something fresh and distinctive to Texas. Our dedication to research and exploration led us to the most exciting concept we felt would thrive in this incredible city.”

The Chumley House offers a transportive setting, seating 90 indoors and an additional 25 outdoors, within a luxurious atmosphere crafted by Duro Hospitality partners, Corbin and Ross See of Sees Design. The 3,500 square foot venue is a tribute to Chumley, Chas’ dog, a beloved companion of the Duro team who embodied loyalty, strength, and warmth—a sentiment that flows through every element of this restaurant.

The Chumley House was designed by Sees Design, working closely with Patrick Craine of Practice, an architectural firm in Dallas, to craft the foundational structure. Together, they designed the “bones” of the space to combine the charm of a classic British manor with luxurious, modern touches.

The space features distinct areas like The Study, a cozy study-style space with rich, mahogany walls, a custom fireplace engraved with the Duro logo and English hunting motifs throughout; and the Trellis Room, featuring dramatic architectural elements. Custom mahogany crown molding, herringbone-patterned dark wood floors, and pumpkin-hued saddle leather banquettes create an intimate, classic setting. From the rich Scottish plaid rugs in the private dining room to the plush, green velvet fabric adorned with mallard ducks, each design choice transports guests to a posh, classic European escape.

“Our goal was to make guests feel as though they’ve stepped into a luxurious, old-world setting,” explains designer Corbin See who is also a partner in Duro Hospitality. “The Chumley House is a blend of English coziness with a touch of opulence, like entering an elegant yet intimate space full of history and character.”

The Chumley House menu offers a selection of European-inspired dishes, blending classic culinary traditions with unique global influences. The restaurant offers a steak program. With a curated selection of à la carte steaks—including filet, NY Strip, and bone-in ribeye—alongside fresh seafood and classics like Beef Wellington, it blends tradition with innovation. Adding to its distinctiveness, the menu incorporates creative interpretations of Indian dishes, a subtle homage to the UK.

The dining experience begins with a warm welcome of freshly baked scones, paired with a comforting cup of rose lychee tea.

Guests will find delights such as savory Butter Chicken Pie with coriander-glazed roots and ginger yogurt; and a lighter Halibut “Porterhouse” with chimichurri. Guests can savor the signature Beef Wellington – a center cut tenderloin, duxelles, and spinach crepe in a puff pastry.

Complementing the mains are sides like Herb Popovers with salted butter and “The Regal Potato”, ensuring each detail reflects both indulgence and heritage.

Desserts include the Salted Caramel Biscoff Trifle with sweet mascarpone, and Mimi’s Icebox Pie with a blackberry cobbler crumble.

A curated wine list features wines from the Napa region alongside selections from Bordeaux, Burgundy and other wine regions around the world.

“We aim to make our restaurants worldly, a place that could be anywhere on earth,” shares Chas Martin, Duro Hospitality Partner. “Fort Worth is a hub for the arts and has a growing dining scene, and we are honored to add to its culinary landscape.”

The Chumley House will be open 7 days a week for dinner service from 4:30 – 9:30 pm Sunday – Thursday and 4:30 – 10:30 pm Friday and Saturday.
