The move will mark a new venture—Society Bakery and Tea Room. Owner Roshi Muns first opened Society Bakery in 2003, and according to a Facebook post, after 20 years, “it’s time for a change.”

The new address for Society Bakery and Tea Room is listed as 1926 Skillman St. in Dallas, just a couple of miles from the bakery’s current spot at 3610 Greenville Ave. The 3,000-square-foot space will undergo an interior remodel, according to a state project filing, and construction could be complete in late summer.

The menu offers signature, vintage, heart, and specialty cakes in a variety of flavors that include banana chocolate chip, Italian cream, Funfetti, salted caramel, and others. Several icing flavors are available—cream cheese, chocolate cream cheese, and buttercream—with signature designs of dots and swirls or the horizontal swipe. The bakery also features cupcakes and cookies.

Society Bakery has been recognized as Top 10 Cupcakes in America by The Ellen DeGeneres Show and AOL. The bakery has been featured on Food Network, Cooking Channel, and in Bon Appetit magazine, according to the brand’s website, and has been recognized in various publications for its sweet treats.

Muns intended the bakery to mix three passions—baking, creativity, and the desire to live a meaningful life, upholding their slogan, “Be Good to Your Sweet Tooth, Be Good to Society.” The business is also involved with the community and donates to various charities, schools, and non-profits throughout the year.
