The filing states the 3,200-square-foot space will undergo renovations on restrooms and include kitchen and interior finishes. There is no official word on when the new Dallas-Fort Worth Metroplex spot might open to begin serving guests some colorful Voodoo Doughnut creations.

Voodoo Doughnut is well-known for its funky, flavorful creations. One example is the Chuckles with chocolate frosting, hot chocolate powder, peanuts, and a caramel and chocolate drizzle. Guests can also try the Maple Bacon Bar or the Voodoo Doll filled with raspberry jelly and topped with chocolate frosting and a pretzel stake. Traditional pastries such as the plain cake doughnut, a variety of Old Fashioned doughnuts, and apple fritters are also on the menu.

The Dallas Voodoo Doughnut will be the first in the Metroplex for the Portland, Oregon-based brand. Voodoo Doughnut has several other storefronts in the Lone Star State including in Austin, the Greater Houston area, and San Antonio.

Kenneth “Cat Daddy” Pogson and Tres Shannon collaborated to open the first Voodoo Doughnut in Portland back in 2003. The doughnut shop that focuses on kooky creations now has more than a dozen locations across the U.S. including in Oregon, California, Colorado, Texas, and other states.
