Per lease intel, suite 210 – a 1,934-square-foot space – was leased to the coffee company. Tre Stelle will join the neighborhood with retailers and restaurants such as La Hacienda Ranch, The Pizza Guy and Lucky’s Barber Shop.

Founded in 2019 by Yordan and Jonathan Ghebreamlak, Tre Stelle currently does its coffee roasting out of a facility that’s located near the Walnut Hill/Jupiter intersection in the Lake Highlands neighborhood. An official message from the company says it is “currently, not open to the public as a retail storefront.” But with the move to Preston Rd, that will be changing as the new location will include both a roastery and a café.

Jonathan shared with What Now Dallas that Tre Stelle’s Preston Rd location will offer food, as well as non-coffee alternatives like tea.

“Right now, early spring,” Jonathan said when asked about a tentative opening date. “That could move a little bit as we’re still going through licensing.”

According to the company’s website, the Ghebreamlaks always had the dream to go into business together as father and son. Now, they are living out that dream by providing fine coffee across the DFW metroplex at stores and events, through catering, and via delivery from online sales.

The company’s unique name comes from a childhood favorite café of Yordan’s that he often visited while growing up in the northeast African country of Eritrea. Eritrea has plenty of Italian influence and the name Tre Stelle translates to “Three Stars” in the Italian language. When son Jonathan went back to Eritrea in summer 2019, he was able to visit the same café that his father grew up visiting, and they were inspired to name their company after it.

Tre Stelle uses a green coffee supplier to source coffees from farms around the world. This set up ensures that they receive the best coffee and that farmers are given a fair price.

Among its coffee offerings are green coffee, cold brew, and roasts with names like Rwanda Kiyambe, Brazil Fazenda and Colombian Excelso. The company also sells merchandise.

Apart from its online store and roastery, Tre Stelle offers its products at the Las Colinas, Richardson, and Carrollton Farmers Markets on Saturdays from 10 AM to 2 PM. They are often apart of local events and pop-ups around DFW.
