A Canadian creperie franchise is adding a second Texas location. Crepe Delicious specializes in crepes, both sweet and savory, as well as homemade gelato, smoothies, and shakes.
The newest addition to the brand will be located inside Grapevine Mills. The stand-alone kiosk will be located near the entrance of the food court at the mall at 3000 Grapevine Mills Pkwy.
Crepe Delicious owner Nabil Hallak opened the first Texas location at Stonebriar Centre in Frisco in November of 2021. “We didn’t think we would move to open another one that quick, but it has been a success,” Hallak told What Now Dallas.
“I hope that people get to try it and like it. We’ve had great success at Stonebriar Mall, so obviously, we’re doing something right. We hope that people do give us a chance in Grapevine, as well,” Hallak said.
The company itself is fairly new to the states. Hallak said Crepe Delicious decided to open in the U.S. in 2018, but then COVID hit. “That hindered the progress, but the company is really having a great success everywhere they go.” The Grapevine Mills location will only be the second location in Texas for Crepe Delicious. The brand is also in several states including Florida, Georgia, Michigan, and Ohio.
“It feels wonderful to bring something new. People are always looking for something new, and this is a new concept in the mall.” Hallak’s goal is to have a soft opening in early September with a grand opening later in the fall.
The crepes are made fresh to order. “People can actually have lunch or dinner, which is steak, chicken, and ham. It’s a big menu. It has that combination of the sweet crepe that most people are used to and the savory crepe,” Hallak said.
The menu features several types of breakfast crepes. Sweet crepes include Caramel Apple, Cookies & Cream, and the Black & Red, which is a crepe filled with strawberries and Nutella spread.
The Popeye filled with baby spinach, tomato, mozzarella, feta cheese, and feta dressing, and the Viva La Crepe with grilled chicken breast on a bed of lettuce, portobello mushrooms, cheese, tomato, and pesto dressing are just a couple of savory selections.
The Crepe Delicious website lists two dozen flavors of gelato, which is homemade. Flavors include banana, cappuccino, salted caramel, tiramisu, and watermelon.
