The new Sweet Paris in Southlake is led by the Hymes family – Edward Hymes Sr., his wife Cynthia and their son, Edward Hymes Jr. As longtime Texas residents, the Hymes family is excited to create a lasting legacy in Southlake and the Dallas/Fort Worth area with their Sweet Paris locations. Cynthia’s deep roots in the restaurant industry come from her father, who owned a restaurant, and her mother, who ran a catering business. This background gave Cynthia extensive knowledge in restaurant operations and employee management. In 2007, Cynthia and Edward Sr. opened their own family restaurant, which they successfully ran with a loyal staff until selling it after their daughter was born. Today, Cynthia’s passion for the industry continues to inspire their family’s ventures, including Edward Jr.’s early exposure to restaurant management, learning directly from his parents’ experience.
Edward Hymes Sr. brings extensive executive leadership experience, having served as CEO and President for major franchises. Currently the CEO of a private lending firm, Edward Sr. has always valued the franchise business model. When the family discovered Sweet Paris, Edward Sr. recognized the perfect opportunity to apply his industry knowledge to their own venture. Sweet Paris Southlake marks their first location, with plans for additional spots in the Dallas/Fort Worth area. Edward Jr. will take on the role of area manager, overseeing daily operations.
“We started out as customers of Sweet Paris and have frequented many of its Texas locations,” said Edward Sr in a statement. “We are excited to continue our love for Sweet Paris as strategic partners, building on its legacy in Texas while, at the same time, creating our own family legacy. Doing this with my wife and son is special as we continue to learn and grow together as business owners.”

“Our team is thrilled to be working with the Hymes family as we grow into the Dallas/Fort Worth area,” said Allison Chavez, CEO and Co-founder of Sweet Paris. “Southlake Town Square is the optimal location for our entrance into the market, with its vibrant shops and upscale boutiques. We are excited to see Sweet Paris grow with Edward Sr., Cynthia and Edward Jr.”
The Southlake Sweet Paris Creperie & Café is the brand’s first location in the Dallas/Fort Worth area and the 18th store overall in its portfolio. In addition to the Southlake location, the Hymes’ will bring four other locations to the area, continuing the brand’s expansion around Texas. The brand’s momentum in the Dallas/Fort Worth area is being replicated nationwide, with 40 additional units in various stages of development in Texas, Florida, Minnesota, Arizona, Oklahoma, North Carolina, Tennessee, Arkansas and Missouri.
Sweet Paris Southlake is open seven days a week, Sunday to Saturday, from 8 a.m. – 9 p.m.
