The nearly 1,700-square-foot space must undergo an interior finish out and the relocation of a drive-thru window before opening to the public. The grab-and-go donut shop could open its doors in early 2023.

The menu features hand-crafted donuts and kolaches made fresh each day. Donut choices range from glazed and iced with sprinkles to crème-filled and cake. You can also try bear claws, cinnamon rolls, and twists, plus coffee.

The Coppell Shipley Do-Nuts is part of a 25-unit agreement with HPL Capital LLC. Michael Poates, HPL Capital CEO, is overseeing the expansion across DFW. What Now Dallas earlier reported that the franchise agreement will bring Shipley Do-Nuts locations not only to Coppell, but also to Denton, Garland, Irving, McKinney, Rockwall, and multiple other North Texas cities.

Lawrence Shipley Sr. developed the original “do-nut” recipe in 1936 and later opened the first Shipley Do-Nuts in Houston. The franchise now has more than 350 restaurants across nearly a dozen states.
