A California-based cookie franchise is opening its second Texas location in early 2023. Cookie Co. has about 10 locations in California and Utah with one in Georgetown, Texas. The newest addition will be located at 2155 W. University Dr., Ste. 140 in Frisco.
Kendall Sandlin and her husband, Perry, own the Cookie Co. franchise in Frisco. They plan to open that location on Saturday, January 14. It will be their first Cookie Co., but they hope to open additional storefronts across the North Dallas area in the future. “We’re really excited. We’re ready to open,” Kendall told What Now Dallas.
“Our cookies are made with the best ingredients. We focus on using real butter, real sugar, real eggs,” she said. “We deliver just really good, quality cookies. That’s what we’re excited about, to bring that homemade cookie to the area.”
Cookie Co. offers a weekly, rotating menu of three cookies plus a chocolate chip cookie as the staple. Some cookie flavors include the Nutter Butter Cookies, a Hostess Cupcake Cookie, and the Brookie, which is half a classic cookie and half a rich cocoa cookie. “There’s a lot of flavors,” Kendall said.
Cookie Co. also offers Twisted Sodas, which include a soda base, and then you can add flavoring. The Twisted Sodas will be named based on the local area. The Frisco spot won’t have seating available, but guests can enjoy sweet smells as they stand in a large waiting area for their cookies.
Elise and Matt Thomas first opened Cookie Co. in Redlands, California during the Pandemic in 2020. According to the company’s website, Cookie Co.’s mission is “to be the local cookie shop at the core of every great town – a symbol of happiness, comfort, and hope.”
