The menu of made-to-order dishes of fresh ingredients offers family recipes from South Texas, New Mexico and Mexican border towns. Diners can enjoy a wide selection of Tex-Mex favorites including appetizers of queso, nachos, and quesadillas.

Soups and salads, “Big As Yo’ Face” Burritos, tacos, fajitas, and enchiladas are other options. House Specialties include the Chuychanga, which is a flour tortilla filled with roasted chicken, cheese, and other ingredients, then deep-fried. A full bar of margaritas, mojitos, other cocktails, beer, and wine doesn’t disappoint.

The 6,600-square-foot restaurant in Terrell could be complete in the fall of 2023, but there’s no word on when it might open to the public. Chuy’s was founded in Austin in 1982 and now has dozens of locations across the U.S.
