Capriotti’s Sandwich Shop and Wing Zone have recorded impressive first and second quarters in 2021, but the restaurant chains are not ones to rest on their laurels. They’re out to have an even better latter half of the year after signing 16 area development agreements in Q3. This brings an additional 39 new stores to markets across the U.S. Current locations have maintained strong sales as the brands continue to attract new investors across the country.

25 of the 39 units sold in Q3 are Capriotti’s and the remaining 14 are Wing Zone locations. These numbers follow the milestone signing of 89 units in the first and second quarters, bringing the total new shop count to 128 for the year.

Third quarter signings for Capriotti’s Sandwich Shop include locations in Austin and Houston, Texas; as well as North Dallas, Dallas and Fort Worth. Wing Zone does not have any Q3 locations opening in Texas.

“Our teams have been extremely busy pushing Capriotti’s and Wing Zone to new heights through innovation and technology enhancements while simultaneously attracting new investors,” said David Bloom, Chief Development and Operating Officer for Capriotti’s and Wing Zone. “This, paired with our recent rebranding of the Wing Zone concept, has created an opportune time for both existing and prospective franchisees to grow with our brands.”

Untroubled by the COVID-19 pandemic, Capriotti’s and Wing Zone have seen positive developments throughout the year such as being recognized in Franchise Update Magazine‘s Marketing Innovation Awards. They also started making use of ghost kitchens which allowed both brands to break into new, untapped markets and welcomed the addition of team members to help expedite growth and provide additional support to franchise partners.

Bloom credited the brands for being incredibly flexible during the pandemic. “Wing Zone and Capriotti’s … [have remained] true to our values, investing in our people and building and maintaining a robust innovation pipeline – and we are confident that will continue to serve our brands well for years to come,” he said.
