Bresnan Bread and Pastry is coming to 301 E Louisiana St in McKinney in the New Year.
The locally-owned small business was previously going to open in September of this year, but they experienced some delays and are now hoping to open in early 2022.
Owned by Matt and Jenna Bresnan, the husband and wife team offers high quality artisan breads and Viennoiserie in the Dallas-Fort Worth area. Most recently, they were recognized as best bakery for bread on D Magazine‘s “2021 Best of Big D” list.
The Bresnan’s journey to open a bakery began at the beginning of last year. “As of January 2020, we took the plunge and let go of our stable income to follow our dreams!” a statement on the brand’s website reads. “Seemed crazy and out of reach a few years ago but it’s so close we can taste it! We plan to open the doors of our bakery at the beginning of next year.”
When it opens, the Bresnans are hoping lovers of baked goods will come visit them just off the Square in Historic Downtown McKinney.
With a rotating weekly menu, the bakery will offer grab and go goods ranging from sourdough breads and laminated pastries to cookies and pies. Bread flavors include Olive Walnut, Seeded Multigrain, Golden Raisin Fennel, Toasted Sesame and Green Chile Cheese. Tasty pastry options include Orange Cardamom Morning Bun, Pain au Chocolat and Ham and Swiss Croissant.
Along with the forthcoming McKinney location, Bresnan Bread and Pastry currently offers its baked goods at Brown Bag Provisions and Fount Board and Table in Dallas, as well as Local Yocal Farm to Market in McKinney.
