“When we were introduced to Blaze Pizza’s concept and the development team working behind the scenes to help franchisees like us get up and running, we were sold. The Dallas-Fort Worth area is booming and with our experience already operating in the market, we jumped at the opportunity to expand Blaze Pizza’s presence here,” Chunara, Vice President of Chunara Group of Companies, said in a press statement.

“They put the profitability of the franchisee first, which is unique and hard to find these days,” he told What Now Dallas. “Their support staff is tremendous, and outside of that, it’s a good food cost model for where we are right now.”

Blaze offers a customizable, made-to-order menu featuring artisanal pizzas, cheesy breads, and salads made with fresh ingredients. “I typically go with the veggie—green bell peppers and onions. I like to keep it simple. That’s what Blaze is so good for, whether you like it simple or complicated, it’s a matter of personal preference,” Chunara said.

The agreement with Chunara Group of Companies is to open the 10 locations in Denton and Tarrant Counties within the next four years, but Chunara thinks they will open within three years. There aren’t any specific locations set, but Chunara said the first Blaze Pizza could open in the second or third quarter of 2023.

Founded in 2011, Blaze Pizza now has more than 340 restaurants across 38 states and six countries, including about a dozen across DFW.
