The Touring Chocolatier is adding a second location at 2601 Lakeside Parkway, owner Kay Thibodeaux shared with What Now Dallas. Kay is a chocolate connoisseur, whose classic training and extensive travels are now bringing a one-of-a-kind, elevated experience to the Dallas area.
“The Touring Chocolatier is an artisanal chocolate and gift shoppe specializing in gourmet chocolates, experiences, specialty chocolate finds and unique giftables. We set ourselves apart by bringing people together to educate them about chocolate and to enjoy fine chocolate, made right in our own production facility.”
In other words, this is not the chocolate aisle at your local Whole Foods. Kay’s passion for chocolate shines through. In fact, her favorite part of her business is connecting customers with the story behind their chocolate. For every taste, Kay can relay stories of the farmers behind the product. She knows them or has worked with them personally.
An exciting element of the new space is the classroom expansion. While limited space is available at the current location in Justin, the shop is limited to hosting events and classes outside of business hours. In the new location, the two aspects of the business can run side-by-side, at the same time.
Kay looks forward to welcoming children, girls-night-outs, birthday parties and well, literally any other group looking to enjoy and learn more about chocolate.
